Thomas J. O'Malley passed away peacefully on September 12, 2026. He was the beloved husband of the late Nancy (Mullen) O'Malley; son of the late Catherine (Lavelle) and Anthony O'Malley; and brother of Maureen (Dan), Eileen (Jim), June (Bill), Betty, and Jerry. Tom was a loving father to Tom (Sharon) and a proud grandfather to Ava and Meredith. He was the self-proclaimed "favorite uncle" to his many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his loving companion and dear friend, Debbie. Tom was a graduate of St. Ignatius High School and John Carroll University. After serving in the Army Reserve, he embarked on a remarkable career as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Following his retirement, Tom and Nancy enjoyed many wonderful years together. Tom will be fondly remembered for his great sense of humor, infectious laughter, and special ability to bring joy to those around him. His warmth, wit, and love for family and friends will be deeply missed. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, 32929 Lake Rd., Avon Lake, OH 44012. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. A celebration of Tom's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Attn: Donor Services, 225 N.
