Darlene Rose Nadeau (Hallman), 69, of Elyria, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2026, surrounded by her Family. Born on February 17, 1957, in Parma, Ohio, to George John and Vivien Irene Hallman (Chopek). She spent her life serving others as a medical assistant for various clinics and medical specialties. She retired in December 2024 after 22.5 years as a medical secretary for the cardiology departments at the University Hospital Cleveland Medical Center.
She loved helping others, especially those preparing for heart surgery. She spent hours helping patients feel heard and at ease before surgery. Upon retirement, she was still sought out from patients concerning their upcoming surgical needs. She was beloved by all she met and gave more to others than to herself. She enjoyed camping with the Open Road Camping Club. She loved her Family fiercely, and her most cherished memories were with her husband, Ed; her two daughters, Rebecca and Holly; and her three grandchildren, Abigayle, Aiden, and Ashton. She lived for time with them and celebrated all their accomplishments.
She is survived by her Family: Edward Nadeau (husband) of 47 years; daughters Rebecca Nadeau and Holly Cano (Nadeau) and son-in-law Cesar Cano; grandchildren Abigayle, Aiden, and Ashton Cano; and siblings Diane Saccogna (Hallman), Dennis, David, Dwayne, and Doug Hallman. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Vivien Hallman (Chopek).
Visitation will be held at Donlon Funeral Home, 15408 Triskett Road, Cleveland, Ohio, on Friday October 9th from 4- 8 pm. Funeral Mass Saturday October 10th at St. Mel’s Catholic Church, 14436 Triskett Road, Cleveland, Ohio. After the Mass, a reception will be held in the church hall.
